The next 3 times when I read the novel I did skip the Singapore part. I read them the first time, expecting something of importance for the plot to happen, but not much is happening.

I thought the 143 pages taking place in Singapore (towards the end of the book) were very boring. And I realize that I belong to a minority when reading the other reviewer's comments.īut I do think that the changes between the book and the first movie are only minor and definitely contribute to a better movie. I read the book 4 times and watched "Coming Home" and the sequel "Nancherrow" a dozen times at least. *I'm sure Paul Bettany was great in the film! I saw Wimbledon when it came out and he was adorable! Others who had never read the book said they loved the movie. From the Rosamunde Pilcher fans, only one review was somewhat satisfactory. Most importantly, I want to know if I should even watch one or both of the movies after I read the book. Is one of them a mini-series and the other a movie? Some of the cast seem to have been in both.do both plots follow the book similarly? I am currently reading Coming Home by Rosamunde Pilcher since it is my mom's favorite book and I too absolutely love it! I was looking for a first edition copy to replace my mom's rather ragged softcover copy when I came across Nancherrow and knew that it had to be based off of the enchanting place the book so beautifully described. I am confused about the two movies Nancherrow and Coming Home.they both seem very similar.
